Alexis Mabille x HOM

I shot this underwear story for 1883 Digital months ago and it's finally online - yay!  I worked once again with Charl Marais who previously photographed my Six Boys One Skull editorial for issue 5 of 1883 Magazine.  This time round I commissioned this amazing mixed media artist Nicolas Santos (check his rad tumblr page) to collage some of the photographs together and I'm so happy with what he has done.  And not to forget @MikeyMoGz who is a pretty badass model I must say.  

The underwear was entirely from the collaboration between French designer Alexis Mabille and HOM underwear.  Read the full interview about the collection HERE!

Hannah Murray in STATUS Magazine

Pantone

I wanted to share a larger preview of the menswear editorial called 'Pantone' that I styled for 1883 Digital. Photographer BEGUM YETIS translated my vision perfectly and I was really proud to combine up and coming as well as established menswear labels I love like Lou Dalton, Agi & Sam, The Kooples, Ermenegildo Zegna, Paul Bench, etc. with amazing accessories from Jimmy Choo, Pringle of Scotland, Burger & Fries and Cutler and Gross.

One trend I've noticed in the FW12 menswear shows coming from Milan & Paris is the sheer volume of capes and poncho's coming down the runway.  From Dior Homme & Calvin Klein Collection to Mugler & Yohji Yamamoto, menswear designers are pushing the image of the caped crusader (though I tend to see them more as the bad guy than the hero out to save the day - an idea that is perfectly outlined in this article entitled 'Winter Villains' written for 1883 Digital).  

So of course I wanted to try rocking the super villain look myself. I've worn capes before and have had this double breasted number from Japanese label Cabane de Zucca for a few seasons now, but it's been awhile since I dug it out of the back of my closet.  To add to the bad guy mood I styled it with this Jesus crucifix body chain that Burger bought from a jewelry stall at the Sunday Up Market on Brick Lane along with these super high, super cool riding boots.  They were a gift from Korean designer DUYOUNG JUNG after I walked in his VanHart Homme collection during Seoul Fashion Week FW11.
