One of my first projects for issue 6 of 1883 Magazine was to style the Brooklyn based band 'Friends' for a 3 page feature story. It was almost a total disaster as due to miscommunication with their PR, the band showed up having no idea I was bringing clothing along for them to wear. The guys were fully against being clothed by a stylist but luckily the girls Samantha (lead singer) and Lesley (bassist) loved the organza John Rocha dresses I brought so the day was saved. Phew.
Kirill Kuletski photographed the shoot in my friends Iran & Baron's tiny flat on Clerkenwell Road (thanks guys!) I chose the place because I loved their scribbles and drawings on the wall and randomly they had a giant bag full of these gold streamers which went perfectly with the John Rocha looks and basically covered up the boys own clothing.
The girls were both really gorgeous to photograph and loved the Chopard jewellery we brought along (love how Samantha stuck the earring in her hair). So in the end it was a good day. Buy issue 6 online HERE to check out the full interview with Friends and check out a few of their videos below.
Just discovered that my editorial for 1883 Digital on Alexis Mabille x HOM underwear (shot by Charl Marais featuring model Michael Morgan) was in the top 5 articles read on Homotography's website in August. The above left image (that was ours) was reblogged 754 times so far on tumblr. Snap! See the original interview and full editorial HERE.
This is the latest article that I wrote for the June/July issue of Surface Asia magazine about Korean label pushBUTTON. You can see my friend Noma Han who walked for their AW12 in the silver suit above left. xoxochadchad
Check out a recent shoot I styled featuring actress Hannah Murray (Skins, Game of Thrones) for STATUS Magazine, shot by David Sheldrick. This is the second time I've had the chance to work with the lovely and soft-spoken Hannah, the first being a shoot I co-styled with Lindsay Robertson for 1883 Digital - check that out HERE.
1883 are turning it up with their brand spanking new edition, The Go Louder Issue. Leading the pack is cover girl Santigold who I had a chance to meet when myself and the rest of the fashion team assisted our Fashion Editor Filippo Giuliani in styling her for this at Aloft London Excel.

I wanted to share some of the images from my shoot with singer Willy Moon for the 5th issue of 1883 Magazine, include some of the unused, previously unseen shots. Photographed by Mark Cant, we wanted to keep Willy in smart tailored looks and play on his 50's sort of vibe using brands like Versace, Ozwald Boateng, Jonathan Saunders, Acne, Z Zegna and Alexander McQueen.
I love his videos and the energy he puts into dancing. It's such a unique sound and the videos, directed by his girlfriend, mesh perfectly with his persona. Here is Willy's latest video, also directed by his girlfriend.

Ahhhh!! Look what I got in the mail the other day. HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Resurrection designer Juyoung Lee for this super pimp pair of sunglasses straight from South Korea. How great is the snakeskin case with red velvet lining and two stud detailing that mirrors the studs on the arm of the glasse? Very.
blue check jacket /Vino yellow shirt / Marni for H&M navy trouseres /Vino green sunglasses / from a street stall woven slippers / vintage pocket scarf / Vino button hole pin / Vino A few weeks ago I was asked by a Korean menswear label called Vino to style myself wearing a mixture of my own clothing and some of their new collection for a few street style photographs. I chose this blue check jacket and styled it with bright yellow, blue & green pop colors perfect for spring.
My flatmate Oscar Lindqvist (check out his blog Le Roi De NoirHERE) was also asked to join. This kid has a very black and impressive wardrobe and he styled this black check suit from Vino with some smart, luxury accessories. black check suit / Vino navy shirt / Givenchy black studded clutch / Yohji Yamamoto navy brogues / Prada sunglasses / Linda Farrow x Raf Simons
Hey! I guess London really loves this blue suit from T.Lipop. Not only was it featured last week in the Metro daily newspaper, tonight I found myself on the 'Fashion, Style & Sex' page of the Evening Standard. I'm on the same page as Rihanna and Angelina's Right Leg haha! Unfortunately they misquoted me. I'm guessing I said Canada or perhaps North America when they interviewed me, oh well. Click HERE for the article on the Evenings Standards website.
It was all about shorts at the SS12 collection by Korean designerJehee Sheen, which was presented during Seoul Collection back in October. Short shorts, medium shorts and long shorts (trousers?) were all seen under oversized linen jackets in black, white & neutrals and were paired with very styling gladiator sandals. The short shorts were my faves (obvi) but I also enjoyed the full cut of the just-above-ankle length variety as well. Calf length capris however, I am never a big fan of. xoxochadchad
