About Face / Lone Wolf issue 9
I recently started contributing to Lone Wolf magazine, an independent womenswear publication based in Canada but distributed globally. Above is an article I wrote on the proliferation of faces seen on the SS14 runways from Prada to Giles to JCDC. Enjoy!

Fritz Helder for HungerTV
When I found out Azari & iii broke up I was way bummed out as they remind me so much of my time in London, but luckily both Fritz Helder and SYF aka Starving Yet Full are both still making fun, danceable music. I collaborated once again with Saty + Pratha to shoot these two Canadian natives (who knew Fritz was from the Northwest Territories?!), but unfortunately SYF didn't make his flight. Still, the show must go on so we worked with Fritz alone. I'm psyched that one of the images was put up on Rankin's HungerTV website HERE to promote a lively, summery mixtape he put together. Check out Fritz's standout track featuring a reunion with SYF covering Ace of Base's 'All That She Wants' together with Yolanda Be Cool.

I'm so happy this weird and quirky story for the Little Burgundy's SS14 Illusions issue is out for the world to see! It was such a fun and chill day collaborating with Françoise & Sacha from Team LIL' BURG and of course a pleasure as always making good shit happen in Toronto with Saty + Pratha - I literally don't know what I would do without them in this city!

FATHERDUCK London SS14
FATHERDUCK LONDON SS14
photography / Jake Rosenberg
fashion / Chad Burton
I had the opportunity to work once more with t-shirt brand FATHERDUCK London to style the lookbook for their SS14 capsule collection. Again Jake Rosenberg of the Coveteur was on board as photographer. This time around the brand wanted a more athletic mood to the lookbook so I paired the duck inspired tee's with mesh track pants and shorts and threw in some gear like elbow pads, whistles and mouth guards to reference sportswear. Another fun shoot and it sounds like this collection will be available through Topman so keep your eyes peeled.

So long 2013!
2013 has been a pretty rad year actually. I had the chance to style my first cover story for 1883 Magazine and met actor Nicholas Hoult in the process. This was followed by three more covers including Michael Shannon for Fault and a double cover feature with model Matthew Bell and boy band Union J for Boys by Girls. I met and styled actress Sophie Turner from one of my favorite tv shows (Games of Thrones - can't wait for you to come back!). I was lucky enough to work with some amazingly talented photographers, stylists, models, editors, actors, hair stylists, makeup artists, etc on two different continents and I feel so grateful for al of these opportunities.
So in no particular order, here's a list of people I would like to thank for collaborating and inspiring me in 2013: Saty + Pratha, Cecilie Harris, John Mullan, Elliott Morgan, Holly Ounstead, Filippo Giuliani, Ginger Clark, Mark Shearwood, Alexandra Leese, Georgie Wileman, Arthur Woodcroft, Lol Keegan, Mark Cant, Alena Jascanka, Jake Rosenberg, Lorenzo Dalbosco and Alex Evans.

Boys Town for JON Magazine
This is my latest editorial work featured in the December 2013 issue of JON Magazine, a UK based menswear publication. I shot this with my friends Saty + Pratha back in November right before it started to get really frigid here in Toronto. Taras @ Elite agency was our model for the day and Olivia Colacci @ Plutino did the hair/makeup.
Originally titled "Drifter", S+P had come up with a story about a lone hitman or 'anti-hero' type of leading man - an elusive, well dressed, macho kind of bad boy. We started out the day in an industrial area of Toronto, then after a bit of car trouble, made our way back to their studio for some indoor shots as well.
The finished story features only black and white in the printed issue, but I was in love with the pops of bright red and royal blue featured throughout in both the clothing and the locations so I have included some unpublished images as well.
Special thanks to a few local brands such as Thomas Balint and Christopher Bates for lending clothing as well as shops such as Gravity Pope, Over The Rainbow and Mama Loves You Vintage.

Matthew Bell for BBG: Video
I just came across a lovely video from the cover shoot I styled for Boys By Girls featuring Matthew Bell. I didn't realize Cecilie Harris, the photographer and Editor in Chief of BBG, was filming that day. I loved his slick, almost 20's flapper style hair in this story and it looks even more intense in video. The dark music gives the video of sinister twist and of course Matthew looks badass in looks from Christian Lacroix, Katie Eary and James Long. Missing all the amazing menswear brands that were at my fingertips in London right now!!!

FATHERDUCK London
I had a chance to style the lookbook for a new street wear brand founded in Toronto called FATHERDUCK London on my birthday in September and I finally have the results to share with you. The photographer for the day was Jake Rosenberg, one of the founders of the go-to digital source for behind the scenes looks into tastemakers, celebrities and luxury brands, The Coveteur. The inspiration for FATHERDUCK comes from, you guessed it, a duck, and most of the t-shirts, sweaters and hats feature illustrations of various drakes and hens. The plan is for the brand to be launching on River Island in the UK soon so keep your eyes out for that.
Thanks to Plutino Group for the hookup and a big shout out to Mila Victoria (aka the Thrilla from Manila or @milavictoria on Instagram) who was in charge of hair/makeup for the day!

Sophie Turner for 1883 Magazine / Outtakes
I recently went through some of my old files to backup my computer and came across a bunch of never before seen outtakes from the feature on Games of Thrones actress Sophie Turner that I styled for 1883 Magazine. I remember having a tough time choosing which images to use for the printed issue as there were so many amazing photographs by Alena Jascanka to pick from! I thought I had to share them since there are such die hard Sansa Stark fans out there. I hope you enjoy!

Union J for Boys By Girls
If you're a fan of boy bands then I'm sure you've heard of Union J, one of the latest groups to come out of the X Factor UK. I styled them for the 2nd cover of the latest Boys By Girls magazine on the day before I moved away from London. Cecilie Harris photographed the group and also on board was John Mullan, one of my favorite hair stylists to work with in London. The boys are all a bit obsessed with their own hair, I don't think I've ever seen so much hair spray action in a room of mostly guys!
We didn't have much time with Union J so I only had a chance to do two looks. One was head to toe outfits by Christopher Shannon with his collaboration boots with Kickers. The second look featured on the cover of the issue was full on Topman with shoes by Kurt Geiger.
It was my kid sister's 13th birthday on the day of the shoot and the boys were even kind enough to sign a polaroid for her. Lucky girl!

When We Love / 55DSL
Another project I had a chance to work on in the 5th issue of Boys By Girls magazine was an advertorial for 55DSL, a spinoff of Diesel. Cecilie Harris was our photographer and creative force behind the story and booked us all a cabin in an adorable little trailer court out in the midlands of England for an afternoon. The olive green, denim blues and mustard yellows of the vintage trailers worked perfectly with the clothing selection - a great mix of denim, casual jumpers, printed t-shirts and button up shirts with a bit of camouflage and knitwear thrown in for fun. Special thanks to Timberland for lending the boots for the shoot! I'm so digging on these iconic boots, such a classic 90's throwback style!

Matthew Bell for Boys By Girls
This is one of my favorite menswear stories that I have worked on in awhile and I'm very happy to share it with you. It's the Matthew Bell cover story from issue 5 of Boys by Girls magazine, shot by Editor in Chief Cecilie Harris and it features some really striking menswear from FW13. Favorites include the blue look by Wooyoungmi, both the pinstripe top & matching trousers (want that so bad!) as well as the the gingham outfit from Christian Lacroix, the textured orange jacket by A.Sauvage, the pink floral jacket & matching trousers from Katie Eary paired with a Dalmatian print shirt by Joseph Turvey along with so many great pieces from James Long, Markus Lupfer and Xander Zhou. If I had this wardrobe to chose from every day I'd be in some sort of heaven.
