So long 2013!
2013 has been a pretty rad year actually. I had the chance to style my first cover story for 1883 Magazine and met actor Nicholas Hoult in the process. This was followed by three more covers including Michael Shannon for Fault and a double cover feature with model Matthew Bell and boy band Union J for Boys by Girls. I met and styled actress Sophie Turner from one of my favorite tv shows (Games of Thrones - can't wait for you to come back!). I was lucky enough to work with some amazingly talented photographers, stylists, models, editors, actors, hair stylists, makeup artists, etc on two different continents and I feel so grateful for al of these opportunities.
So in no particular order, here's a list of people I would like to thank for collaborating and inspiring me in 2013: Saty + Pratha, Cecilie Harris, John Mullan, Elliott Morgan, Holly Ounstead, Filippo Giuliani, Ginger Clark, Mark Shearwood, Alexandra Leese, Georgie Wileman, Arthur Woodcroft, Lol Keegan, Mark Cant, Alena Jascanka, Jake Rosenberg, Lorenzo Dalbosco and Alex Evans.

Sadie Gets Cultured for 1883 Magazine
By far an all time favorite shoot of mine, Sadie Gets Cultured was a collaboration once again with Mark Shearwood and featured in issue 9 of 1883 Magazine. The gods aligned on this one and not only did we have the amazing Robilent + Voena gallery on Dover Street to use as a setting, but after an initial freak out session that we weren't going to have the right model for this, we ended up working with the gorgeously surreal Sadie Pinn who pushed the shoot to new levels of weirdness - no direction was needed for this girl, we just had to sit back and watch what she came up with.
My buddy John Mullan did the hair and the minimally perfect makeup was done by Kristina Vidic. Stephanie Staunton on nails also added to the subtle quirkiness of the story by using an airbrush to paint Sadie's nails and fingers the same tone - almost like she had stubby fingers without nailbeds. I was also really psyched by the clothing we got a chance to shoot such as the striped Moschino outfit, the leather Marni bits, a perfect Paul Smith pin striped shirt and pleated skirt, the Yves Klein blue Gucci number, Delfina Delettrez jewelry and some great pieces from Osman, Maison Martin Margiela, Ashish, John Rocha, etc. All in all I EFFING LOVE THIS SHOOT and I hope you do too.

Sophie Turner for 1883 Magazine
photography / Alena Jascanka
fashion / Chad Burton
hair / John Mullan
makeup / Emma White Turle
fashion assistants / Rudy Betty & Molly Peet
Love Game of Thrones? ME TOO! So I was way psyched to shoot Sophie Turner (aka Sansa Stark) for the June 2013 issue of 1883 Magazine. She was such a lovely kid (only like 17!) and loved all the looks I had for her. And who knew she isn't naturally a ginger but actually blonde? It was the first time working with Alena Jascanka whose passion for her work was totally contagious. I've included a few shots that didn't make the printed issue (in stores now). All in all a great day at the St. Martins Lane Hotel :)
