So long 2013!
2013 has been a pretty rad year actually. I had the chance to style my first cover story for 1883 Magazine and met actor Nicholas Hoult in the process. This was followed by three more covers including Michael Shannon for Fault and a double cover feature with model Matthew Bell and boy band Union J for Boys by Girls. I met and styled actress Sophie Turner from one of my favorite tv shows (Games of Thrones - can't wait for you to come back!). I was lucky enough to work with some amazingly talented photographers, stylists, models, editors, actors, hair stylists, makeup artists, etc on two different continents and I feel so grateful for al of these opportunities.
So in no particular order, here's a list of people I would like to thank for collaborating and inspiring me in 2013: Saty + Pratha, Cecilie Harris, John Mullan, Elliott Morgan, Holly Ounstead, Filippo Giuliani, Ginger Clark, Mark Shearwood, Alexandra Leese, Georgie Wileman, Arthur Woodcroft, Lol Keegan, Mark Cant, Alena Jascanka, Jake Rosenberg, Lorenzo Dalbosco and Alex Evans.

Michael Shannon / Fault Magazine
This is my cover story with Oscar nominated actor Michael Shannon, aka the guy famed for his dramatic reading of that crazy ass Delta Gamma sorority letter, from the July issue of FAULT Magazine. Actually he's more famous for being the bad dude opposite Superman in Man of Steel or the prohibition era policeman in Boardwalk Empire (OBSESSED with that show - miss you Michael Pitt!).
I teamed up once again with Alexandra Leese for this story and we wanted to give it a modern gangster or mafia boss sort of vibe with suits by Louis Vuitton, Hardy Amies, Tommy Hilfiger, etc, to play up his recent role as a hitman in The Iceman which he starred in opposite Winona Rider. (I feel like I'm two degrees of Kevin Bacon away from like, everyone now...I so win that game). I was so thrilled to be on board this and for the chance to work with such an amazing character actor. He's definitely a bit intimidating in person similar to most of the characters he plays, a combination of his size, his presence, his persona - I was kind of a afraid to adjust his collar or tweak his jacket without asking permission to first! But all in all he's a decent guy and it was a pleasure meeting him.

Good Folk for Carbon Copy Magazine
This is a story called 'Good Folk' that I collaboration on once again with photographer Alexandra Leese for Client Magazine's Style Guide #6. She had a friend with a huge horse ranch in the English countryside and wanted to shoot some heavily tattooed & bearded boys in cowboy inspired attire. Danny Fox and Ricki Hall (aka #rickifuckinghall on Instagram) were the perfect dudes for the job.
To get a Western inspired mood going on, I pulled SS13 pieces like the tasselled trousers from KTZ, denim from the Kris Van Assche x Lee collaboration, loads of hats from The Hat Gallery M/V, some printed scarves from Markus Lupfer and a few of my grandfathers vintage bolo ties for authenticity. Other looks from Calvin Klein Collection, Ralph Lauren Denim, Patouf and T.Lipop rounded out the shoot. All in all a good day in the country with good folks, until that bastard of a train attendant fined us all for taking the wrong damn train back to London! Fucker haha.

606 for Carbon Copy Magazine
Another menswear story I worked on with Alexandra Leese, this time for Carbon Copy magazine - the brother publication to Client. Alex was inspired by old school Brooklyn jazz clubs in the 40's for this story, so I pulled in a lot of hats, pinstripes, bow ties and waistcoats for this story from tailors like Ede & Ravenscroft and Hardy Aimes to mix with more contemporary brands like Pringle of Scotland, Kris Van Assche and Vivienne Westwood MAN, plus a few cool pieces from young menswear designer Jaehwan Park. . I think my favorite image is one directly below with the grey waistcoat, pinstriped shirt and baggy pleated camouflage trousers from Kenzo.

Swim Fan's for Client Magazine
This is a men's swimwear story I styled for Client Magazine a few months back with one of my favorite photographers to work with in London, Miss Alexandra Leese. John and Gina, on hair and makeup respectively, are also a dream to work with. I really wanted to mix in some Balenciaga SS13 style stacked gold rings plus loads of earrings with the swimwear to give it a bit more of a lux vibe. Fave weird moment of the shoot? When Gina was using a paint brush to dab oil onto Chris's armpits in the above shot - ha!

Circus Propaganda
Another editorial of mine that was published recently in Client Magazine - love the black & white and the textures of the location. The photographer Alex and her team are geniuses at lighting, and the 5 boys were all very cool in their own unique ways.
