Tonight is the Bling magazine Night Flea Market at Platoon Kunsthalle and as I'm one of the sellers, I decided to reform a bunch of denim jackets & vests using black feathers, tassle and other scraps of things I had around the house. I wore it with my spanking new Bailey fedora that my friend Burger gave me for Christmas and my black MVIO cuff that was actually the invitation to MVIO by Han Sang Hyuk's SS2011 Collection last fall.


The t-shirt is just a scabby old deep V from American Apparel that I reformed by pulling apart the threads to make a see-through stripe the runs up the right side all the way to the shoulder. A bit scandalous if worn alone due to the nipple action but it doesn't bother me as I'm no stranger to scandal ;).

The flask was a present from my friend Sharon who helped to write an article about me in NYLON Guys September 2010 issue. Love carrying around that flask because who knows when a little social lubricant will come in handy.

My friend Coco found the leather wallet pouch for me in Beijing. It's hung on a solid brass Japanese jean ring that I've had forever (lifetime guarantee) which I bought in Tokyo. The cute little Shamrock Care Bear key chain is another gift from Burger.




I picked up these cheap cheap white sneakers on Brick Lane in London for only 5 pounds. I decided to reform them vintage tattoo style with the sparrows holding 'XOXO' banners and the knuckle tatt style writing. I was way happy with the result even though I know they are going to get disgusting dirty in like one night.


Here are a few of the denim goodies that I shredded, tassle, safety pinned, studded, cropped, etc for the flea market. (all except for the floral bedazzled jacket which was that awesome when I found it). I've had those feathers forever after wearing them on a blazer with a fishnet mask for Whitenoize 5 at Club Mansion. Glad I finally got a chance to make good use out of them. Last night was the Absolute Vodka "glimmer" party at Platoon Kunsthalle, dress code: sparkling! I don't have a lot of bling in my wardrobe so I worked my outfit around this crown shaped brooch that I found at a vintage shop in Calgary a few summers ago. It had this great Sunday promotion where you can fit as much clothing as you can into a brown paper bag for only 10 dollars - holla. I also thought the polka-dots on this BON shirt were somewhat glimmery, but maybe that's a stretch. Party pics will be coming soon:)






It had originally bought the vintage school uniform blazer at Gwangjang market for W15,000 to wear at my friend Cory's X-Rated: Reform School party at Club Heaven in September. I had cut the sleeves off to make them sort of cap-sleeved, added pencils on the shoulders and push pins around the collar as studs and wore it with a school emblem style brooch. For the Absolute party I took all those accessories off and changed the gold buttons to black with a silver edge for a classier look which I'm happy about because now I can wear it more often.


The boots were basically stolen from my friend Tim. It's hard to find my size in Korea (12+US or 290~300 Korean) and he barely ever wore them so I 'adopted' them while he is traveling in Columbia. They are so comfortable, I wear them all the time and usually over my jeans. A lot of people prefer ankle boots worn under the jeans but I like these ones worn over. The nordic patterned leggings were a great find in Fukuoka, Japan last winter. I always liked the look of winter shorts & leggings and they were all over Japanese street fashion pictures I had seen. Nowadays you can find all sorts of similar styles on the streets & underground shopping centers in Seoul for W5,000 to $10,000.
