Thursday night was the Absolute Glimmer party at Platoon and since free vodka was involved, once again I got Absolute-ly...well, let's just say festive. My friend Fielding and I showed up drenched like dogs from a random December burst of rain and were greeted at the entrance by Jade who quickly ushered us over to the free bar. Supposedly it was a limited invite kind of party but someone forgot that memo and the entire first floor was uncomfortably packed with a crowd who wore very little sparkle in their wardrobe, even though the invite specifically said dress code: glimmer & crystal accessory. Whatevs. Luckily we had 3rd floor VIP wristbands where you could actually breath. I can't say I remember the music much, but there were some tacky glimmery drummers & a couple of Daft Punk-ish dudes doing some kind of performance. Quite a few familiar faces in the crowd - got to catch up with BON designer Lee Jung Jae who was wearing some rad wing-tipped army boots. Thanks to Jade for the ticket hookup and to Fielding for livening up the party with his dance floor moves. Here are a few pic from the night:
