burger kim of the day 1.8
baseball jacket / Piet Parra x Nike
vest top / American Apparel
Toronto Blue Jays cap / New Era
denim shorts / vintage cutoffs
burgundy boots / Dr. Martens
Burger barely ever digs this jacket out of the black hole that is his closet, but every time he does wear it he gets so many compliments on it. It's one of the few purchases he's ever made from Dover Street Market and is a collaboration between Nike and Piet Parra, a Dutch graphic designer, illustrator and co-founder of apparel label Rockwell Clothing.
I love all the embroidered badges & pins about being on a team called 'The Lovely Under Achieving Loners' and thought they looked great against the backdrop of the Korean mart we often shop at near Center Point. Shin Ramyun for life!

Willy Moon for 1883 Magazine
I wanted to share some of the images from my shoot with singer Willy Moon for the 5th issue of 1883 Magazine, include some of the unused, previously unseen shots. Photographed by Mark Cant, we wanted to keep Willy in smart tailored looks and play on his 50's sort of vibe using brands like Versace, Ozwald Boateng, Jonathan Saunders, Acne, Z Zegna and Alexander McQueen.
I love his videos and the energy he puts into dancing. It's such a unique sound and the videos, directed by his girlfriend, mesh perfectly with his persona.
Here is Willy's latest video, also directed by his girlfriend.
To see what Willy's up to these days, check out the full article in 1883 out in stores now!

Resurrection sunglasses
Ahhhh!! Look what I got in the mail the other day. HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Resurrection designer Juyoung Lee for this super pimp pair of sunglasses straight from South Korea. How great is the snakeskin case with red velvet lining and two stud detailing that mirrors the studs on the arm of the glasse? Very.

1883 Magazine Issue 4
Issue 5 of 1883 Magazine with Santigold on two covers was finally released in stores yesterday so I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite pages. I love the graphic elements and mashup of patterns and textures on the left cover which features heavy gold body jewelry by Erickson Beamon, but I love the 'POW!' (literally) of the cover on the right where Santi wears a jacket by JC de Castelbajac and a headpiece by Riita Hakkarainen for Dans La Vie.
This was the first print feature I styled for 1883 which I shot with MARK CANT of singer Willy Moon, a 50's like crooner with some very badass dance moves. For this shot I had him in a check jacket by Versace, shirt by Z Zegna, skull print scarf by Alexander McQueen and a fresh button hole flower that I picked up at the market on the morning of the shoot.
I'm totally biased about this image of singer/actress Josephine de la Baume as it was shot in my bedroom. Styled by 1883's Fashion Co-ordinator LINDSAY ROBERTSON and photographed by KIRILL KULETSKI, her red soled Louboutin's and Jason Wu dress look perfect against the pattern heavy bedspread and Marimekko tapestry.
Another fun spread is this army man still life shoot by 1883's Beauty Editor and Senior Fashion Assistant HOLLY OUNSTEAD. It reminds me a little of Toy Story and a little of that 80's flick Honey I Shrunk the Kids!
The Santigold covers and feature editorial were styled by my Fashion Editor FILIPPO GIULIANIand photographed by MAGNUS UNNAR in the Aloft London Excel hotel. She was really charming in person and looks so cool in this foil & frills jumpsuit by Inbar Spector.
This is my editorial 'Six Boys One Skull' which I shot with CHARL MARAIS. I'm so psyched to see an editorial of mine in print and love that I got a chance to work with amazing brands like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Marni, Issey Miyake, Alexander McQueen, etc, etc!
The opening image for Holly's women's editorial shot by ALEXANDER JORDAN which I got to assist on might just be my favorite page of the magazine - I think it's such a iconic shot and stands out against the rest of the content in the magazine. Plus those mirrored octagon shaped glasses are Burger's :)
Another iconic spread that I got to assist on is the opening shot of Lindsay's editorial which was photographed at Supperclub London by NORMAN LEE. The knit sweater by LCF graduate Joseph Turvey is perfect with the spilt juice and I am kind of obsessed with the black & white loafers with sneaker-like soles by J.W. Anderson.

chadchad of the day 7.2
polka dot shirt / BON
polka dot shorts / ASOS
polka dot socks / Topman
brown shoes / from Korea
I finally made it out of London for a weekend away in small town England at a place called Lewes. It feels like I've been stuck in zone 1 for an eternity - not that it's so bad in central London, but it's nice to breathe some country air and not have to deal with constant crowds.
Burger and I went to the quaint little village of Lewes after finding a deal on Groupon (side note: never buy a Groupon hotel getaway, you'll always end up disappointed). Lots of churches, castles and tiny little shops and streets and even a Garland Day procession through the streets of girls with flowers in their hair dancing with marching bands and guys wearing lots of bells. I thought it would be much warmer than it actually was, so I ended up wearing this mix & match polka dot outfit for only about 30 minutes total. Boo! But I'm sure I'll find another occasion for this polka dot threesome.
So any thoughts on polka dots for guys? Some people say they are feminine but I think a guy can totally pull them off. I think it's more of the connections you make with polka dots like itsy-bitsy teenie-weenie yellow bikinis or those little dresses Zoe Deschanel always wears rather than the polka dots themselves.
If a Batman villain can rock polka dots, then why can't I? :)
