This was the outfit I wore to day 2 of London Collections: Men, and definitely my favorite.  I'm a sucker for jumpsuits and this pleated navy number was simply perfection.  It's from the Issey Miyake Men FW12 collection and my fashion editor used it earlier in the week in one of our menswear editorials for the next issue of 1883 Magazine.  Big shout out to Jean-Philippe from Issey Miyake for letting me wear it!

These photos were taken by Miyelle Karmi, a street style photographer whose website me/ELLE/you you must check out.   I accessorized the look with my bright blue clutch and sunglasses to make the tonal blue seen in the cuffs a little more obvious. Also huge thanks to Juyoung Lee, the designer from Korean label Resurrection, for giving me the sunglasses.

Resurrection sunglasses

IMG_0038
Ahhhh!!  Look what I got in the mail the other day.  HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Resurrection designer Juyoung Lee for this super pimp pair of sunglasses straight from South Korea.  How great is the snakeskin case with red velvet lining and two stud detailing that mirrors the studs on the arm of the glasse?  Very.

want 2.0

_MG_2695
I recently got my hands on Korean designer Juyoung Lee's lookbook for Ressurection FW12 and there are definitely a lot of looks on my WANT list.  The olive green jacket above with the long, black fur is for sure a favorite and I love how all the looks are warmly styled with turtleneck tops.  Her sunglasses range is a favorite of mine and she is well known for her leather detailing and use of skirts for men.

There is regularly a sort of Mad Hatter meets Jedi knight rock star mood to her collections with this seasons being no exception.  Another favorite are the chevron striped pants in burgundy and brown colors at the bottom of this post.  Someone in London has got to start stocking this stuff!

bringing sexy back: Resurrection ss12

Scan-120303-0003
This is an article I wrote for Surface Asia magazine about Korean label Resurrection's SS12 collection and sunglasses line by designer Juyoung Lee.  Such badass sunglasses and how rad is that blue leopard paneled shirt?  I could totally see myself in that.

korean boys fw12

Lanvin
It's nice to see a few familiar faces at the menswear shows in Milan & Paris this season. NOMA HAN, no stranger to the runway in New York & Paris, walked in both the Lanvin (above) and the Alexis Mabille FW12 shows in Paris while HAN SU KIM was in Italy for the Missoni and Dirk Bikkembergs (one of the famed Antwerp Six) collections.  I modeled with both of the boys when I was living in South Korea so it's nice to see they are doing a good job of breaking into the western fashion scene.

men in skirts

group
Check out my article on 1883 Digital by 1883 Magazine about the prominence of skirts in menswear SS12 collections from around the world including shows by Commes des Garcon, Givenchy, J.W. Anderson, Rad by Rad Hourani, Rick Owens and Korean labels Resurrection and Irony Porn(o):

Modern European & Western male dress sense has long dictated that outside of Scottish weddings or Marc Jacob’s closet, skirts on a man are a total faux pas.  Taking a look back in history however, gives a glimpse of men from ancient Egypt to Biblical times to historical figures such as Alexander the Great and Christopher Columbus all depicted wearing skirts.  For the rest of the article, click HERE.
