party in your sleep!
I was asked by Vice Germany & Smirnoff Vodka to contribute a few pajama related party photos for the photoblog on the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project website. Click HERE to see the rest of the 'Party in Your Sleep' photo set. Also, coming soon will be a complete nightlife guide to South Korea that I contributed a lot of photos for. I'll post a link up to those as soon as they are live on the blog!

mvio ss12 by haan
The first runway show I ever saw was back in 2008 when Korean designer Han Sanghyuk was still designing for his first label BON. Since then Han, who from that first glimpse of the catwalk has been one of my favorite Korean designers, has moved onto being creative director for another label called MVIO. MVIO has put on some very far out yet very wearable collections over the past few seasons and the latest SS12 'Plasticman' presentation was no exception. Preppy, sailor meets future doctor inspired clothing were cleverly styled in quirky surgical gear with much fewer layers than we usually see from MVIO. I was happy to see Han pushing the baggy shorts over leggings look that has been popular in Korean and Japanese street fashion for quite a few years and I really loved the pastel patchwork pattern found midway through the collection. I'm not crazy about nautical stripes, but I did enjoy how he used them in the short pants suit with matching tie. Take a look at a few of my favorite runway looks.
ps. make sure to go to the 'downloads' section of the MVIO website for free downloads of runway music mixed by DJ Eunchurn. More, More, More is my personal favorite!
Thanks to INAPAD.com for the photos.

burger kim of the day 1.1
sleeveless studded leather biker jacket / Burger & Fries
leather collar denim shirt / Burger & Fries
studded flat brim hat / Burger & Fries
black denim / Cheap Monday
black boots / Dr. Martens
It's been a while since I posted one of Burger's outfits up on here, my bad. It's a total shame too since Burger's wardrobe & self styling are so spot on amazing every day of the week. I've actually been really slacking on street fashion shots in general since after fashion week in September. Double bad. However, I have been focusing more on introducing designers and brands that I love from around the world so I hope that makes up for it. But enough of that...
I've been trying to update our Burger & Fries boutique on ASOS as much as possible by reforming great vintage finds as soon as I find them, like the shirt and vest that Burger is wearing. I found the leather vest, which was originally a biker jacket with a white paint stain on the sleeve, at Portobello market near my job. Thanks to the stain I got it for a decent price (and by decent I mean decent in London vintage terms, which is very hard to get cheap) then took it home, roughly cut off the sleeves and added the cone shaped studs. I took the collar off another leather jacket that had a broken zipper, and added that to the oversized denim shirt. Worn together they look twice as cool, especially styled with the studded hat.

closet creeper
I'm so excited for Cory, one of my closest friends & a former partern in crime of mine from Seoul who is a staple among the nightlife scene in Korea, a total unicorn when it comes to personal fashion and an absolute babe to boot! She just launched an online shopping mall called Closet Creeper which features some of the most fun and trendy men's and women's wear that Korea has to offer.
They have free domestic shipping for those readers in Korea and free international shipping for orders over $150! Stay tuned here for possible upcoming promotions :)
