chadchad of the day 5.5
white shirt with stripes & pompoms / Burger & Fries
grey trousers / Sparks
black shoes / H&M
The Mexican blanket, most often seen sprawled over the back of an ugly old sofa in your friends parent’s dingy basement or else collecting dust in the back corner of a charity shop, is getting a much needed make-over. Olé!
For today's look I took inspiration from Californian designer Shaun Samson's SS12 collection, which he presented during the MAN show on menswear day at London Fashion Week. I found a very worn vintage backpack made of Mexican blanket material at the Battersea car boot sale a few weeks ago and took it apart to reform some new designs for our Burger & Fries boutique, including the shirt I made above which I also added black pompoms to. Here are a few of the other looks I created:
Slip-on Shoes with Mexican Stripes & Pompoms
Denim shirt with Mexican Blanket Sleeves
Flat Brimmed Hat with Mexican Stripes
Sweater with Mexican Blanket Shoulder Patch
