kim won joong for Prada FW12
Just went through the Prada FW12 collection more thoroughly and to my surprise saw my friend Won Joong Kim / 김원중 strutting his stuff in Milan. I walked in a few shows with him back in Seoul and he was always a hilarious kid with a rad sense of style. The Korean street fashion magazines were all over him and he was doing editorials left and right in all the top fashion magazines in Seoul. Glad to see he's starting to pursue work overseas and succeeding! Below are a few candid snaps I took of him over the years backstage during Seoul Collection.
Me in some ghost-like makeup for Jehee Sheen FW11 with Won Joong.
Jin Wook Yoon (윤진욱), a kid who's name I don't know, me and Won Joong at a Seoul Fashion Week after party.
Rocking burnt orange backstage at Kimseoryong Homme FW11.
Showing off his pearly whites backstage at Farenheit Homme SS11.

hiroaki kanai lookbook
I shot this lookbook for RCA graduate Hiroaki Kanai a few weeks back, photographed by my friend Masayo Matsuda. It's been awhile since I was in front of the camera rather than on the sidelines doing the styling and it was fun to get back into it. I loved the silhouettes of Hiroaki's outfits with the highwaisted trousers and cropped, cinched jackets. Fun leather gloves and the bold magenta and blue were such rad outfits.

navy jumpsuit & black belt / Issey Miyake Men
blue sunglasses / Resurrection
blue clutch / Louis Vuitton
This was the outfit I wore to day 2 of London Collections: Men, and definitely my favorite. I'm a sucker for jumpsuits and this pleated navy number was simply perfection. It's from the Issey Miyake Men FW12 collection and my fashion editor used it earlier in the week in one of our menswear editorials for the next issue of 1883 Magazine. Big shout out to Jean-Philippe from Issey Miyake for letting me wear it!
These photos were taken by Miyelle Karmi, a street style photographer whose website me/ELLE/you you must check out. I accessorized the look with my bright blue clutch and sunglasses to make the tonal blue seen in the cuffs a little more obvious. Also huge thanks to Juyoung Lee, the designer from Korean label Resurrection, for giving me the sunglasses.

Larry Tee feat. Charlie Le Mindu
My friend Larry Tee (aka the creator of Electroclash and co-writer of RuPaul's 'Supermodel') has recently launched this fun new single 'Charlie' with the help of hair genius Charlie Le Mindu. Gotta love those poor awkward little doggies in wigs, I'm especially a big fan of Amy Doghouse and La Ruff.

SS13 Menswear Trends
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, quite a few menswear trends have emerged from the SS13 shows during London Collections: Men with neon, specifically hot pink, being one of them. From the bright jumpers and blazers at Topman Design (left) to the sporty stripe details at Sibling(centre) neon was making a resurgence from it’s early 90′s heydays. Edward and Benjamin, the boys behind Meadham Kirchoff (right), even went so far as to dip-dye their models hair to match their pattern heavy neon looks.

MBC Korean Cultural Festival
A K-pop storm is brewing across the other side of the globe and is poised to unleash it’s sugary, dance-infused goodness onto the western world. South Korea has been curating an army of overstyled and plastic-faced girl and boy bands with obnoxious names like B3AST, f(x), SHINee, U-KISS and MBLAQ in the hopes of cross-over success and Saturday night saw one of their first UK invasions in the form of a ‘Korean Cultural Festival’ with headliners EXO-K (above) at the Indigo O2.
