While Burger was showing Ah-In Yoo (유아인) around Carnaby Street in London, luckily Year Zero London was one of few small designer shops open for Boxing Day. One of their designers, Louise Michielsens along with Tiziano, a member of her staff, was kind enough to let both myself photograph them as well as the M-Net crew in to film their shop.
They have an amazing selection of handmade clothes, jewelry & accessories in bright colors and graphic shapes made in plastic-y materials and even Lego. Even the three dogs sleeping in the shop were decked out in Year Zero designer wear. Celebrities like Beyonce, Madonna, Mika and PINK have all sported Year Zero wear, so too have Korean celebrities such as G-Dragon and 2NE1.

While staying London I thought I would also showcase my friend Burger Kim's extensive wardrobe. This kid has style in spades and more of it should be shown to the world. He is a master of layering and is great at mixing patterns and textures. On most people it could come off forced, but with Burger it always looks effortless.
The night Burger and I went dancing at Bang Bang we got a call at 3am from my friend Sarah's boyfriend, who is a producer for M-Net. He was in London filming a reality show starring Korean actor Ah-In Yoo (유아인), famous for his role in 'Antique'. The extra's they had for the club scene they wanted to shoot had backed out so they called us to meet them at Ah-In's 5 star luxury hotel, the Philippe Starck designed Sanderson at 4am to have a few beers and chat about trendy things to do in London. Here are a few images of the decor from the Sanderson Hotel.
The producers all liked Burger's style so much they asked him to take Ah-In shopping around central London. This is the outfit he wore that day. Ah-In was wearing a killer military inspired jacket by Burberry and carrying a handsome leather portfolio case. Unfortunately since it was Boxing Day a lot of the smaller, independent stores were shut but Burger did have a chance to take him to Year Zero London (I'll blog more about them later) and they also fought the crowds at Topshop & Urban Outfitters. Here are a few shots of the filming that day:
After the filming we were all tired and cold, so the producers booked us a table at an uber trendy restaurant/club/gallery called Sketch on Conduit Street. This place was gorgeously decorated and the meal itself was insane. I could totally get used to a life like that.

Finally my first chadchad of the day from London! I've been too busy enjoying the city since I've been here to get around to taking photos of myself. My friend Burger has been an ideal host - each day has come with a surprise event or activity along with some amazing restaurants. We saw the Dirty Dancing musical at the Aldwych Theatre, we saw his friend Bret perform a swinging hoop show at this hip little club/restaurant called Circus, we danced to oldies at a party called Bang Bang at the Bath House and we walked through a Winter Wonderland festival at Hyde Park where we ate Dutch poffertjes and Jamie Oliver's mince pies. No classic fish & chips or pints of ale yet but that is sure to come.
I wore this outfit on the day Burger did a filming for M-Net, a TV station from Korea. I'll write more about that in my next post. The filming was done outdoors walking around Carneby & Regent Streets so I wanted to make sure I dressed warm. This amazing long scarf from General Idea by Bum Suk Choi / 최범석 that I borrowed from Burger's closet was perfect for the occasion. It's about 4 meters long so it keeps out the chilly breeze no problem.
These baggy, elastic waist acid wash jeans from Topman were my first purchase in London and I'm so in love with them. A far cry from the skinny jeans you usually find me in but so easily adaptable into my wardrobe. Very 80's, very comfortable, very good buy.
