I'm late updating this, but here is the final outfit I wore to London Fashion Week on menswear day. The first image was shot by Sofia Bak and the second was taken by Topman for their Facebook photo album on LFW street fashion. I know lace isn't the most masculine of fabrics for menswear but I wasn't expecting some of the harsh reactions I received.  Yes, insults like the ones hurled about looking 'homo' from City of London garbagemen out of the windows of their stank ass garbage trucks were obviously going to happen, but the comments from a few Topman fans on Facebook were rather disappointing, especially since they are supposed 'fans' of fashion too.

I am fully aware that this isn't an outfit for everyone.  I'm only trying to take menswear one step farther by pushing the boundaries somewhat and I know for a fact that there are a lot stranger & more feminine street fashion looks out there for men.  But going so far as to say "...you would get beaten if you wore this in London..." (thanks for that Joe Coburn) is just so hateful.  It was fashion week y'all, lighten up.

chadchad of the day 4.9

checked shirt / Sparks
grey trousers / Sparks
eggplant riding boots / VanHart Homme
sunglasses / Cazal
belt / vintage
fur & leather clutch / Urban Outfitters
leather non-watch / Burger & Fries

I'm back from a lovely birthday vacation on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands and am finally getting around to posting my outfits of the day from London Fashion Week. My first outfit was taken from the website thefashinist.se and was photographed by Swedish street fashion photographer Fosco Giulianelli. I wore this outfit backstage to the Belle Sauvage SS12 show at the Old Sorting Office.

I knew I wanted to wear the suede boots I was given last spring by Korean designer Jung Du Young after I walked for his VanHart Homme FW2011 collection. I picked up the grey trousers when I went shopping with my friend Paula (aka Noonablog) at Behave near Brick Lane in east London a few weeks ago and thought they paired nicely to create a sort of riding look.

I wore a lot of accessories with this look. The belt is a vintage find from Canada which I love for its stripes. I bought the clutch from Urban Outfitters when I first visited London last Christmas and wore it with one of my favorite outfits of the day HERE when Burger and I went all touristy near the Tower Bridge. The Cazal sunglasses are from Burger's extensive collection.

I made the non-watch out of vintage watch parts that I thrifted at an antiques market - sort of as an anti time statement since who really needs a watch nowadays when you have a phone in your pocket all day? I've made a few of these and sold them on our Burger & Fries boutique on ASOS Marketplace. They have been a hot seller are all sold out at the moment, but I'm sure I'll be uploading more in the next few weeks.

Welcome to our humble flat. I didn't get a chance to take a shot in my new oversized Sparks shirt before the sun started setting so I thought I'd take today's outfit of the day shot in my London diggs to give you an idea of where I'm living. I picked up the oversized shirt yesterday at a select shop called 'Behave' near Brick Lane in East London - they were having a sale and it was only 20 pounds so I bought a 10 pound pair of plaid Cheap Monday swimming trunks as well.  Holla.

I wore it with my tiny gold hamburger necklace (thanks B!) and a pair of vintage Levi's that I cut off into shorts then dipped halfway in bleach to give a gradient sort of look. The leather house slippers are from Jaisalmer, India aka the Golden City. A 12 year old boy and his father owned a shop there filled entirely of goods handcrafted from camel leather. I bought these, a satchel and two foot stools for really cheap when I was there in 2006 to go on a camel safari with a few friends. I wear the slippers at home every day.

Oh ps. that lump of grey fluff I'm holding is Terrence, our roommates cat. Nothing but swagger that boy.

Here are a few shots of some of mine & Burger's jewelry and some of my favorite things from around the flat.  You can notice some of Burger's brilliant hat creations hidden all over the house.
