burger kim of the day 0.3
tan jacket with flaps / Kokon to Zai (KTZ)
black floral cardigan / vintage
green plaid shirt / vintage
red velvet bow tie / vintage
brown plaid trouser leggings / Nemeth
brown bag / Topman
patterned socks / H&M
burgundy boots / Dr. Martens
This is the outfit Burger wore on the day we went to the Design Museum, next to the Tower Bridge in London. The KTZ jacket is great with its many flaps, panels and layers - with the iconic diamond & triangle pattern barely visible underneath. It could easily be worn very casually with just a t-shirt and jeans but it looks quite sharp matched with the velvet bow tie.
These trousers are a double-sided gem. When viewed from the front they are a basic brown plaid pant with an almost vintage look but when viewed from behind they are a pair of black leggings with two very curious circular pocket holes. It's almost like the mullet of pants - business in the front and party in the back, but much more fashionable of course.
This is a clip from the 'Drawing Fashion' exhibit we saw at the Design Museum. It was a breathtaking collection of illustrations from the turn of the 20th century to present and really made you appreciate an art that is somewhat lost in today's fast pace fashion culture. It really made me want to pick up a pen & paper and sketch anything & everything like I used to in college. The exhibit shows until March 6th so if you are in London I highly recommend checking it out.

chadchad of the day 1.5
reversible khaki cape / vintage
blue cardigan / vintage
mustard yellow shirt / vintage
blue nordic tie / Topman
green cutoff denim / vintage Levi's
brown leather & fur clutch / Urban Outfitters
purple & black nordic leggings / from Japan
black leather ankle boots / Aldo
brown plastic frame glasses / no brand
I bought this nordic patterned tie from Topman the day Burger and I went shopping with Yoo Ah-in/ 유아인 & M-Net. I was immediately drawn to it as it reminded me of the ties from the MVIO FW 2010 'Mountaineering' collection by Han Sang Hyuk. I wanted Burger to style me while I was in London so I had him use this tie as the starting point, and I'm very happy with the result.
The colors are all very complimentary to each other and I always love the silhouette a cape gives an outfit. Wearing a cape makes carrying bags a bit of a challenge but it was no problem with this small clutch I picked up at Urban Outfitters on Boxing Day (sale!). I've been eyeing a fur backpack for over a month now in Seoul but the exorbitant price had kept me from purchasing it so I was trilled when I found this clutch for only 15 UK pounds. I also loved the British look the glasses add to the cape which are very suited to the grey skies and Tower Bridge background.
