My friend Ben just modeled in the spring summmer 2012 pattern explosion of a collection for Wut Berlin in Tokyo.  Styled with Greek god-like golden eyebrows & winged headbands, the models wore layers of pastel patterns and patchwork.  A very loud and proud of it show not for the faint of heart.  Right up my alley.

banal chic bizarre SS12

I came across runway shots from Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo recently and one menswear show that really popped out was the SS12 collection from Banal Chic Bizarre. Creators Ayano Ichige and Shun Nakagawa started the popular streetwear brand as a shop that specialized in designing and selling reformed clothes.  I love the variety of color they used and the shoes, my god the shoes!  I love the chunky, almost puzzle piece like sole, though they do seem a bit familiar to me.  I feel bad for the all the models who's faces are covered by the ninja masks, though it fits well with the 'Vivid Ranger' theme.  It almost is like the Power Rangers got a complete style makeover.  Here is a selection of my favorite looks from the catwalk.  (all photos by Tokyofashion.com)
